March with farmworkers for CA Ag. Voting Choice from Delano to Sacramento

On August 3rd, farm workers will launch a 24-day, 335-mile march in support of CA Ag. Voting Choice (AB-2183) from the UFW’s historic Delano CA 40 Acres. They will arrive August 26th at the state Capitol in Sacramento.

Will you join us?

Farm workers are marching to win the right to vote for a union free from intimidation and threats. This march is to demonstrate to Gov. Gavin Newsom the large support for AB 2183 and that his veto of Agricultural Labor Relations Voting Choice Act (AB 2183-Stone) was a mistake.

The bill would give more choices to farm workers so they can vote free from intimidation. Farm workers would be able to vote in secret whenever and wherever they feel safe.

Community members and organizations in each town will supply key support: a morning blessing when marchers depart; organizing residents to participate and help; providing food, water, and more for the marchers. We will begin daily at 7am. Join us then, along the route, or at the rally at the end of the day.

On August 26, hundreds of farm workers and supporters will march the last mile from Sacramento’s Southside park to the big finish at the capitol. The route for this march or peregrinacion — through 24 valley cities and towns — is below. Join this historic march by signing up for one or more days below!
