La Familia provides ongoing workshops and services to assist community members with their employment and education needs. From job search and training services, we are dedicated to providing the range of assistance needed for job placement success. All events are free, but some eligibility requirements must be met for certain programs. See below for more information.

Sacramento Works Career Center
Eligibility – Adults

Free pre-employment and employment search services, including:
- Weekly orientations

- Résumé workshops

Out of School Youth (OSY)
Eligibility – Community members Ages 17-24 years old who are out of school.
Fees – No Cost
Geographic Areas – Sacramento County
Language – English, Spanish
Out of School Youth (OSY) program offers youth ages 17-24 the opportunity to gain paid work experience (WEX) and pursue advanced training. Throughout participant’s work experience they have the support of an Employment Training Specialist to help them achieve their education and employment goals. Assessment and tutoring are provided to enable them to overcome deficiencies in Math and/or Language Arts. Contact for Eligibility.
